Our Policies
Little Hollows is an Eco Glamping Site so we aim to give an authentically natural experience during your stay here with us. Providing you with an environment that is deep within the elements, but still with some of those much needed creature comforts.
Shower & Toiletries
All of our products are locally sourced and are completely 100% natural. It is important to us that all of the products we use are completely eco friendly. There is a slightly limited hot water supply per sitting, offering 2 nice long showers and a bowl or 2 of washing up. Once this is used it will take around 45 minuets for the tank to fill up again :)
Our friends over at Tree Harvest provide all of our natural shower products ready for your stay.
Rubbish and Recycling
We have quite a strict bin policy that is designed in keeping with our furry friends on site. Food has to be separated from the general waste and recycling is of course no doubt self explanatory. There are 5 bins provided and clearly labeled to better understand.
All recycling MUST be washed before putting in the bin! Thank you :)
Compost and Eco Toilets
Those of you who are familiar with glamping may have come across this kind of method before. Outside of the cabins is a compost toilet, shared between the 2 builds only. Compost toilets do not flush, they are otherwise known as ‘dry toilets’. They treat human waste by a biological process called composting. This process leads to the decomposition of organic matter and turns human waste into compost-like material. A carbon additive such as sawdust, coconut coir, peat moss or wood chipping’s is added after each use.
Inside each of the cabins is a private eco toilet. Eco toilets are slightly different to compost. They act in the same way that water waste is diverted straight out of the cabin, and you do not have to think about it again. But any solid waste has to be removed after each visit. The toilet is designed for this process to work efficiently and to be clean and stress free, but it isn’t for everyone.
There is a detailed step by step manual explaining how to use our eco toilets in each cabin :)
Wood & Fires
Each of our cabins comes with an outdoor fire and a small amount of wood provided. Having an outdoor fire in the evenings we feel is definitely part of the experience. If you run out of wood during your stay more can be purchased upon request.
Heating & Cooling
Our Delux Eco Cabin comes equipt with a Dyson Pure Hot+Cool so you can easily regulate temperatures to meet your every need. Our smaller Eco Cabin comes equipt with a portable radiator for those slightly cooler nights.
Adults Only
Little Hollows is an adults only glamping site.
We can not accept families with young children at this time.
Pets
We currently operate a no pets rule on site.
Luggage
As we are a glamping site access to the cabins does also come with some uneven terrain. It is a short walk from the car parking area to the cabin, but large suitcases on wheels may not be suitable.
Muddy Footwear
During the winter months the land does get pretty damp and dirty. Please be mindful of muddy footwear inside the cabin. We request that guests leave their shoes inside the door during the winter months to help protect our wooden flooring. Bringing slippers is also adviced during the cooler period.
WiFi
We are in the process of installing WiFi in both of our cabins.
There is currently signal and a WiFi connection up by our Ruffz Café, for those who need to send an email or make a quick phone call.
Risk Waiver
Little Hollows Glamping site is a rustic nature retreat. We know how easy it can be to have a tumble in the dirt. We kindly ask all of our guests to sign a risk waiver before confirming any bookings. It is important that everyone who stays here with us has an understanding and acknowledgement of potential risks, and are aware of their own liability.
